What documents are required for sending or receiving money?

  • An original valid identification document
  • Additional documents may be requested for compliance reasons, based on the transaction’s amount and frequency

How to send money?

  • Find the nearest MOL branch.
  • Provide MOL with all necessary information & documents:
    • Sender details: name, address, phone number
    • Valid ID
    • Receiver’s first and last name
    • Amount to be transferred
  • Sign a Money Transfer Form and receive a receipt with a 12-digit MOLN number. Provide this number along with the sent amount and the sender’s name to the receiver.

How to receive money?

  • Find the nearest MOL branch.
  • Provide the operator with necessary information and documents:
    • MOLN number
    • Valid ID
    • Sender’s first and last name
    • Transfer amount
  • Collect the amount and sign the Money Transfer Form.

What are the general terms and conditions for money transfer?

  • Sender and receiver must be 18 years or older
  • Both must present a valid ID or passport
  • Local MOL transfers can only be collected at MOL locations

How to cancel a transaction?

  • Find the nearest MOL branch.
  • Provide the MOLN number.
  • Present the original receipt of the money transfer form.
  • Cancellation can only be done if the transfer has not been collected yet.
  • Specify the reason for cancellation.
  • Sign the cancellation form.
  • The agent will submit the cancellation request and await back-office approval.
  • Once approved, the amount will be refunded as mentioned on a new MOL money form.
  • Verify the amount given and sign the MOL money form.

How to know if the sent transaction has been collected?

  • An SMS will be received once the transaction is collected by the receiver.

What types of IDs are accepted for sending or receiving money?

For Lebanese:

  • Lebanese ID
  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Civil Registration document (less than 6 months)
  • Army ID

For Non-Lebanese:

  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Residence Permit
  • UN ID
  • Palestinian Refugees card
  • Syrian ID
  • Diplomat ID

Who can pick up the money I sent?

  • The beneficiary must be present in person with a valid ID matching the recipient’s name and must know the transaction details: LTN number, sender’s first and last name and transaction amount.
